Start with the job, then narrow the view.
A busy booking list needs more than a total count. Search by job number, booking reference or client, then narrow the results by sales owner, status and shipment type. Port-of-loading and port-of-discharge filters help the team focus on a particular route.
The list keeps route, commodity, container quantities and status alongside the booking. Use those details to review the work in context before moving to related documents or invoices. What each team member can open depends on their permissions.
A practical workflow
Find the record
Use the booking or job reference when you have it; otherwise start with the client or route filters.
Review the shipment
Check the ports, shipment type, container quantities and current status together.
Continue the handover
Use the same booking context when coordinating documentation and job finance.
From a sales booking to a shared shipment record
For a shipping agency or NVOCC, several departments need the same booking context. In a sample export job with two 20ft containers, sales checks the route and owner, documentation locates the related B/L, and accounting reviews the job’s invoices. A shared reference gives each team a starting point; it does not mean every stage is automatically approved.
Continue with shipping documentation and B/L management, then review booking-related invoices and buy costs. The public walkthrough uses sample information, not a live customer account.
